Little Bear Golf Club

About
Little Bear Golf Club offers a unique concept, it is the first layout of its kind in the country. Rather than the traditional nine or 18 holes, Little Bear has an 11-hole layout. There is a 'front five' and 'back five' with a challenging additional hole that features an island green. The golf course was intentionally designed for those looking for a quick 40-minute round, perhaps after lunch or work. A bare soybean field was transformed into a rolling landscape with three large lakes, a meandering stream, and a stone waterfall. Over 1,000 trees and several sand bunkers were also incorporated into the layout. The bonus hole, which can be played individually or as a challenging end to a round, is a replica of a hole at the famed TPC Sawgrass.

Confidence booster
Man, I had fun today playing this. I only had about 1.5hrs to play and saw this course on GolfNow with basically no other tee times selected.. I’ve never played here before but figured what the heck for 15$ at 5:30pm…
The layout was awesome. Some small hazards, water somewhat in play if you can’t control your wedges, and extremely well-kept rough. I think I used my 7i and 8i once and the rest was basically wedge game which was so fun to practice. Only 11 holes but for 15$ it was well worth it. I also didn’t mind the greens. Some might be annoyed with the “fake” feel but I just played with the idea that they’re just really quick and had fun.
Number 11 was awesome too!
Will definitely be back when I get a random afternoon free. Not a bad membership deal too I might have to scoop up once I’m a little less busy.
Nice little course
Weird but fun. Synthetic tees and greens. Greens are extremely fast. Difficult layout. Will play again.
Not worth the money…
15$ a person for a horrible taken care of synthetic and not legit greens 11 hole walking course. Most the time you cant even figure out where to go next, and just go to wyandot. Better bang for the buck. This course is not good and super short. I get its a par 3 but wyandot is cheaper 13$ to play 9 holes that are not faked.
Range matts for tees and weird fake turf for greens. It might as well be putt putt.
Wonderful course!
Fun and challenging but still possible to score well! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved the course and 10/10 would recommend
Save your money
Couldn’t even play and if I was able to I’m not sure if I could even figure out what hole I’m on.
The club house was closed and the course was under construction
Horrible course. Tee boxes and greens are fake grass. The layout is impossible to follow. Never played on such a bad course. Honestly, I wouldn’t come back if it was free.
Astroturf
All greens were turf. Value of $11 for 11 holes is phenomenal but the putting is brutal and is not enjoyable based on how unrealistic the greens are. Like putting on a carpet with the ball on roller skates. Good place for teens and golfers just looking for a laugh.
Rough conditions
Probably in the middle of reshaping the entire course , all greens were bad
Awful
Greens and tee boxes are turf with weeds growing. No one in the shop. Not mapped out well, no clear directions to next holes. Not worth a dime
Don’t waste your time
AstroTurf tees and greens. No personnel. No Lay-out map. Just a waste of time.
This place was a lot of fun with little to no one around during play. The rough is extremely penalising due to work being done on the course. The setup has many water holes which adds pressure to hit a good shot. I will definitely go back soon.
