Kiva Dunes Golf Course

I have played this course for the past twenty years and it is always in great shape. Friendly staff. An overall great course!

I called the course before I booked on GolfNow to make sure they had rental clubs and they did. They did not tell me at the time that the course was being aerified and I didn’t see it on the site. When I arrived to the course, I was met by the staff and they treated me great from the start. They came to get my clubs but I told them I was renting clubs. They then went and got my rental clubs and put them on a cart while I went into the clubhouse to pay. They had two sets to chose from and I chose the TaylorMade Qi3’s and they came with a sleeve of TaylorMade golf balls. I think they other set were Pings. The set had everything you needed and the face of those clubs were hot. I wanted to sneak them into my rental and go home, they were so good!! The course was in very good shape. Even though the course was being aerated, the balls still rolled very well on the greens. We had to play the front 9 twice because they were aerating the greens on the back but it was still a very enjoyable round. I was paired with a couple who were members and another gentleman and we had a good time. The couple knew the course and treated like we had our own caddies. They were really nice. I wish I could’ve played the back 9 just for the sake of playing it but overall I truly enjoyed this course. The pace of play was phenomenal and we were able to get around 18 holes in just over 3 hours. From the staff in the parking lot, to the clubhouse staff, and the starters, I had a great time. If I’m ever in the area again, this course is a must play for me. Would totally recommend this course.

KD is normally a very nice course, but with aeirated greens I nicked it a star. The staff was great; it was just the punched greens that cost me a couple of strokes. At the priced I paid I would play it often.

I really enjoyed the layout and the staff were top notch. Course was in great shape and not too difficult for a high handicapper. Will definitely play again the next time I’m in the area.

We enjoyed this course. The layout is challenging with a great mix of trees, sand and water features.

Golf Course was very pure. Greens where great. You cab nake putts.

Cart guys was very accommodating and friendly then we meet the started Andy one of the best I ever come across. We let a 2 some go ahead and on the third hole was blocked by a slow play 4 some. Took 4 holes to let us play through. Waited on every tee box. After didn’t hit a stop until 17 hole. Loved front 9 and back 9 a couple silly holes. Cost was a little over priced but course was in great shape.

I always enjoy playing Kiva Dunes. I just think it's a neat course. I've played with the Blue Angels flying overhead. I love seeing the alligators, I've seen the largest water moccasin ever on hole 17 years ago. Great memories. Folks there are typically super nice. I've been playing Kiva for over 30 years.

Here's what I don't like. I don't like being lied to by David. We didn't meet him when we arrived, but I did speak to him on the phone before reserving my tee time. I called specifically to understand course conditions, and I was specific with my questions about course condition. I went as far to ask multiple questions - even about whether there was any sanding of the greens. I understand that courses have to go through maintenance during the year. I get it. David told me everything was perfect. This was not the case. Would I have played anyway? Probably. But David lying to me directly on the phone - that's an F. And I consider it inexcusable.

So do I love the course? Yes. Do I think lying to me is ok. No. David lying to me brings down my rating of the course. And overshadows the great, friendly people that work there. This would be pretty much a 5 star rating across the board if it were not for David. Just be honest.

Enjoyed playing the course yesterday. Great course with a great layout. Price is a little high, just like the rest of the courses in the area.
